Job summary

Legrand seeks a Director, Global Strategic Sourcing in Canonsburg, PA to define and lead the global sourcing strategy for direct materials, indirect spend, and outside value-add manufacturing. The role partners with Operations, Engineering, Product Management, and Sales to ensure supply continuity, cost competitiveness, and timely launches.

The leader will manage category strategies, supplier governance, and risk mitigation across North America, Europe, and Asia, with hands-on escalation support

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field required; MBA preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive global sourcing/category management experience in manufacturing.
• Proven track record leading cross-functional sourcing programs (cost, capacity, risk) and supplier negotiations.
• Experience building and leading a high-performing, matrixed sourcing organization.

Responsibilities

• Set and execute global sourcing strategy for direct, indirect spend, and outsourced manufacturing to enable growth.
• Develop supplier governance, risk mitigation plans, and category strategies across regions.
• Lead negotiations and contracting for strategic agreements to protect interests and reduce total cost.
• Expand and optimize the global supplier base while ensuring supply continuity and time-to-market.
• Own and report sourcing KPIs, including risk, CSR/ESG compliance, and supplier performance.
