Job summary

Michaels is seeking a Support Center team member in Irving, TX to assist Global Sourcing with private brand strategies and cross-functional coordination. The role involves data collection, analysis for RFPs, and ensuring timely vendor setup and communication with internal and external partners.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree and at least 18 months in an office/sourcing environment, with strong Excel/PowerPoint skills and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in retail, supply chain, or international trade.
• Minimum 18 months of office work or a college degree related to retail, supply chain or international trade.
• Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint; strong communication and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and shift priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with major retailer or sourcing company preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support Global Sourcing Manager to implement private brand sourcing strategies.
• Collect data and conduct analysis for projects including RFP.
• Monitor project timelines and alert partners to delays.
• Coordinate vendor setup and cross-functional item setup with partners.
• Serve as liaison for day-to-day global sourcing operations.
• Assist in coordinating cross-functional meetings and vendor visits.

Support Center - Irving

Major Activities

• Support the Global Sourcing Manager to implement Private Brand Sourcing strategies to achieve company and assigned category business objectives.
• Support the Global Sourcing Manager for the growth of private label through effective collaboration with internal and external partners.
• Collect data and conduct analysis for projects including RFP.
• Monitor project timeline and alert appropriate partners if delays or problems arise.
• Support Global Sourcing Managers on cost negotiation by collecting data from different sources.
• Support the Global Sourcing Manager in relaying shortages and delivery issues to merchant and inventory team.
• Validate the vendor setup paperwork and ensure vendor set up in system successfully.
• Manage quote sheets and item setup process with cross functional partners to ensure accurate and timely execution.
• Serve as a key liaison for day-to-day global sourcing operations and work effectively with cross-functional partners at overseas offices and vendors.
• Help Sourcing Manager to coordinate cross-functional meetings while providing required documentations, for meetings such as transition meetings, and vendor visits.
