Old World Industries, a Northbrook, Illinois based leader in automotive aftermarket products, seeks a Sourcing Manager to lead end-to-end responsible sourcing strategies to enhance profit and support new product development. The role focuses on building reliable supply chains, negotiating cost-efficient terms, and ensuring quality delivery while aligning with company objectives.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years in a global sourcing position with leadership experience.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Efficient and effective communication and presentation abilities, with ability to tailor approach to best reach intended audience.
• Solutions-oriented strategic thinker who can easily identify high-priority, high-impact activities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the sourcing strategy.
• Manage supplier relations, including contracts, terms, customer service and product issues.
• Oversee logistics of sourced products, optimize transportation to support operations, and manage relationships with international freight forwarders.
• Gather and negotiate product data, pricing, terms and lead times with suppliers.
• Enforce supplier agreements to meet quality, pricing, and lead-time targets.
• Leverage sourcing options to maximize profit, including brokers, trading companies, and overseas sourcing.
• Oversee overseas negotiations and document preparation for importing and delivery.
• Collaborate with Sales to provide product and supplier solutions and manage large quotes.
• Develop product compliance protocols and find overseas partners while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
