Job summary

Kroger is seeking an experienced global sourcing leader to build and scale direct-import capabilities across our private-label portfolio. You will lead Kroger’s direct-import agenda across multiple categories, collaborating with sourcing, buying, logistics and forecasting teams to drive supplier performance and cost savings.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of sourcing experience.
• Private-label category or sourcing management expertise.
• International sourcing across overseas suppliers and lead times.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver against savings targets.
• Experience transitioning categories from brokers or agents to internal ownership.
• Ability to align category owners and cross-functional partners around a committed sourcing strategy.

Responsibilities

• Identify, qualify and competitively source international suppliers.
• Lead RFI and RFP processes across product categories.
• Transition categories from brokers and agents to direct Kroger ownership.
• Manage supplier cost, service and order performance.
• Translate U.S. category priorities into sourcing objectives for teams in Asia-Pacific and Latin America.
• Build the processes, systems and data requirements needed to scale direct imports.
