Job summary

Kroger is seeking an experienced procurement professional to lead category management, develop sourcing strategies, and negotiate complex contracts to achieve targeted savings. You will work with business stakeholders to optimize supplier bases, manage performance, and ensure adherence to procurement policies.

Ideal candidates will have an MBA or advanced certification, 5+ years in procurement or supply chain, and a track record of delivering value through strategic sourcing and supplier

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Retail, CPG, or related disciplines.
• 5 years’ experience within the pertinent category.
• Ability to build impactful relationship with internal clients and key influencers.
• Oral and written communication skills to formulate strategies in a complex business environment.
• MBA or Master’s degree and certifications CPM/CPSM, CSCP or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Category Management and strategic sourcing leadership to meet savings targets.
• Negotiate and support contract execution with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate and review procurement strategy and project pipeline with senior manager.
• Drive supplier finance, discount programs, and working capital improvements.
• Lead SRM activities and foster long-term supplier relationships.
