Job summary

Kroger is seeking a procurement professional to lead category strategy and supplier optimization in Cincinnati, OH. You will align with business stakeholders to define initiatives, run sourcing events, negotiate terms, and support contract execution to meet savings targets.

In this role you will manage a team of analysts, oversee SRM activities, ensure compliant processes, and drive value through supplier collaboration and continuous improvement across the procurement lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a business or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in the pertinent category.
• MBA or Master’s degree preferred.
• CPM/CPSM, CSCP or equivalent certification.
• 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain or Procurement.

Responsibilities

• Develop category strategy with business stakeholders.
• Optimize supplier base and coordinate sourcing events.
• Negotiate and execute complex contracts with suppliers.
• Identify opportunities to extend payment terms and improve cash flow.
• Lead SRM activities to create value and drive improvement.
• Supervise analysts and coordinate procurement process metrics.
• Ensure adherence to policies, procedures and guidelines.
