Job summary

Fluidstack is seeking a sourcing specialist to own mechanical category procurement for manufacturing, including steel, fabrications, cooling components, and assemblies. You will lock supply, lead times, and capacity against the build plan, while technically qualifying suppliers through engineering approvals and audits.

Qualifications

• Experience sourcing mechanical categories for manufacturers.
• Ability to read drawings and specs to challenge quotes.
• Experience qualifying new suppliers under time pressure.
• Experience securing capacity in constrained markets.
• Data-driven supplier management including on-time delivery and lead times.

Responsibilities

• Own sourcing for mechanical categories feeding manufacturing: steel, fabrications, cooling components, and mechanical assemblies.
• Lock supply and lead times against the build plan with capacity commitments.
• Qualify suppliers technically with engineering: first articles, PPAP-style approvals, and audits.
• Negotiate multi-year agreements that hold price and priority as volumes grow.
