Job summary

Formlabs, a leader in 3D printing, is seeking a Global Sourcing Intern for Winter/Spring 2027 in Somerville, MA. The role offers hands-on experience in procurement, supplier management, and new product introductions, with a collaborative team and exposure to manufacturing processes.

You will work with suppliers, support risk assessments, and help optimize cost, quality, and supply resilience across projects. Onsite internship with opportunities across engineering and manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• Technical or engineering background required.
• Ability to source, contact and evaluate suppliers for quality, reliability, cost and capacity.
• Strong communication skills across in-person and remote teams.
• Leadership experience and exposure to project management.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with suppliers to maintain material pipeline and ensure timeliness of builds.
• Support supplier risk assessments and contingency planning.
• Develop strategies to optimize suppliers for cost, quality and resilience.
• Perform market analysis to derive sourcing insights.
• Assist in managing purchase orders, invoices and supplier communications.
• Lead supplier sourcing, qualification and negotiation processes.
