Job summary

Apple is seeking a Solutions Architect to design and operate distributed, customer-facing platforms within AppleCare Sales, Service & Support. You will own system design across multiple platforms and translate business needs into scalable architectures.

You will define API contracts and data flows, work with cross-functional teams globally from analysis to production delivery, and emphasize privacy, availability and performance as key principles.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering with system design focus and large-scale production systems.
• Experience documenting engineering specifications for inter- and intra-system interactions.
• Experience architecting distributed systems for high availability and scalable traffic.
• Translate business requirements into designs across large enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with backend stacks and data stores (Java/Python, Oracle/NoSQL/MongoDB).
• Knowledge of Agile and traditional waterfall methodologies.
• BS/MS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
