Job summary

Apple’s Cupertino office is seeking an Application Platform Architect to help shape the Application Platform Integrity. You will influence a wide range of platform features and collaborate with engineers, product, and legal to navigate complex regulatory requirements globally.

You’ll bring 10+ years in software development (Swift/Objective-C) and a deep understanding of architecture and API design, working autonomously across multiple work streams to deliver scalable platform solutions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software development in Swift or Objective-C or similar OO languages.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, API design, and system design.
• Excellent written and presentation skills for engineers and leaders.
• Ability to ramp up quickly on new technologies.
• Self-driven and able to manage multiple work tracks autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Engage with teams to create the best platform.
• Partner with engineering to craft a great developer story throughout the SDLC.
• Evaluate developer requests and design platform solutions.
• Promote best practices and create scalable processes and training.
• Work with legal to navigate regulatory requirements globally.
• Review features for alignment with global regulations.
