Job summary

Applied Materials is seeking a software support professional in Austin, TX to resolve equipment software issues and provide customer help via our ticketing system.

Responsibilities include assisting field engineers, documenting issues, and participating in company trainings. Travel up to 20% is required; we offer a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities to grow within a global leader in materials engineering.

Responsibilities

• Understand and resolve Applied Materials’ equipment software application and systems issues of low complexity with some supervision.
• Provide customer software support via Software Ticketing system.
• Provide assistance in analysis of software issues reported on customer tools by field engineers. Aligns and delivers in line with group objectives.
• Demonstrates beginner level understanding of BU product, system software and software troubleshooting tools/BKMs and infrastructure necessary to meet work delivery requirements.
• Take all company level trainings and certifications needed for gaining specific product knowledge.
• Understands and familiarizes with the equipment software documentation, Key customer features and installation/upgrade instructions for software product releases.

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members.

In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
