Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Site Reliability Operations Engineer to join our internal DET team. You will act as Incident Commander during major incidents, coordinating global technical teams to restore services quickly.

You will monitor enterprise systems across Windows, Linux, networking, and cloud platforms; drive runbooks, SOPs, and automation, and lead problem management with data-driven improvements. A strong technical degree and ITIL familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

5-8 years in IT operations, incident management, or site reliability work in a 24x7 environment.
Experience leading major incidents as Incident Commander and coordinating cross-functional teams.
Strong communication to explain complex issues to technical and executive audiences.

Responsibilities

Respond to and manage major incidents affecting internal business operations as Incident Commander.
Monitor and troubleshoot enterprise systems across infrastructure, applications, and networks.
Develop runbooks, SOPs, and automation to improve incident response.
Coordinate emergency changes and maintain business continuity during critical incidents.
Analyze incident data and KPIs; present findings and actionable recommendations.
Lead problem management: root cause analyses and tracking known errors.
Participate in on-call rotation and serve as Duty Manager for high-severity incidents.
