Job summary

Aerotek in Fremont, CA is seeking a Shipping Coordinator to load and unload trucks with forklifts and manual lifts, verify bills of lading, and process shipments in the ERP system while adhering to 5S safety guidelines. This contract-to-hire role requires 1–2 years in inventory control or shipping, basic math and computer skills, and ERP experience (Oracle preferred).

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in inventory control or a similar role.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to perform math calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Prior experience with Oracle or a similar ERP program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work orders for packaging and process shipments in the ERP system to maintain accurate inventory.
• Maintain the shipping area through regular organization, cleaning, and cataloging of items.
• Schedule large shipments and plan logistics to meet customer demand, including international and local shipments.
• Close out work orders when required.
• Contact customers via email or phone to obtain shipment-related information.
• Contact third-party logistics companies to schedule shipments.
• Utilize shipping carrier software systems to generate appropriate shipment documentation.
• Generate packing lists, shipping labels, bills of lading, and other required packaging documentation.
