Job summary

AMAX is seeking a Shipping Clerk/Receiving Clerk to verify incoming and outgoing shipments, prepare items for dispatch, and maintain accurate shipping records. The role involves choosing appropriate shipment methods, affixing labels, and assembling safe packaging for transport.

You will coordinate with shippers, resolve shortages, and route items to the correct departments. The position requires at least 2 years in shipping or logistics, an Associate's degree or equivalent, and familiarity with

• 2+ years shipping or logistics experience.
• Understanding of domestic and international shipping processes.

Responsibilities

• Verifies and records shipments, prepares items for shipment, and checks information against bills/invoices/orders.
• Determines shipping methods, routes, and rates.
• Labels, cages, or boxes cartons; ensures proper packaging and protection.
• Unpacks shipments, handles shortages or damages with shipper, routes items to departments.
• Familiar with HS codes for international shipments; inspects outgoing shipments for specifications.
