Job summary

CHEP seeks an experienced Engineering leader to drive large-scale automation and serialization initiatives across North America and beyond. You will collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Digital, and suppliers to optimize processes, scale cutting-edge technologies, and deliver measurable value in a fast-paced, global environment.

The role combines technical depth with strategic thinking and operational excellence, requiring up to 50% travel across the Americas.

Qualifications

Engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical, or Electromechanical).
10+ years in manufacturing, supply chain, or logistics environments.
Experience leading cross-functional technical projects.
Strong ability to influence stakeholders in global teams.

Responsibilities

Develop and manage large-scale capital projects for automation and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with Operations, Health & Safety, Finance, Quality and external suppliers.
Lead Capex document preparation and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
Oversee equipment installation, commissioning, and safety compliance.
Drive continuous improvement to reduce MTBF and boost efficiency with AI/robotics/digital twins.
Create training programs and operational documentation for handover to teams.
Maintain financial control over capital projects and budgets.
Uphold Zero Harm and regulatory standards throughout the project lifecycle.
