Job summary

Software Placement Group seeks a Director/Manager of Development Engineering for sensors to lead the growth of its sensor product line. This high-impact role oversees engineering teams across the U.S.

and globally, shaping technical direction and business development for sensor products used in automotive and industrial markets. The position requires leading teams across electrical, firmware, mechanical, and systems engineering with a strong emphasis on customer engagement and relocation

Qualifications

Experience as Director/Manager of Development Engineering within sensors.
Diverse application experience across automotive, commercial vehicle, off road, industrial or adjacent markets.
Proven experience managing engineering groups in US and global teams.
Strong understanding of business development for sensors and direct customer contact.
Willingness to report to office 3 days a week.

Responsibilities

Lead the development of sensor products for U.S. and global markets.
Oversee the creation of electronic-based products with MCUs, sensors, and firmware.
Lead multidisciplinary teams spanning electrical, firmware, mechanical, and systems engineering.
Manage engineering groups in the U.S. and globally.
Engage in business development and maintain direct customer contact related to sensor products.
