Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Global Senior Project Manager based in the United States.

We are seeking an experienced Global Senior Project Manager to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives and drive operational improvements across a global organization. In this fully remote role, you will manage multiple projects from initial concept through implementation and benefits realization. You will bring structure to ambiguous challenges, align diverse stakeholders, and translate strategic priorities into clear deliverables and measurable outcomes. Working closely with business leaders, technical teams, and external vendors, you will influence decisions and ensure projects remain focused on value creation. You will also strengthen project management capabilities by coaching teams, improving processes, and promoting consistent delivery standards. This opportunity offers broad international exposure and the chance to contribute to meaningful operational transformation across multiple functions.

Accountabilities
  • As Global Senior Project Manager, you will oversee strategic and operational projects, coordinate cross-functional delivery, and ensure initiatives achieve their intended business outcomes.
  • Manage and report on complex technical and cross-functional projects throughout the entire project lifecycle, from ideation to benefits realization.
  • Translate strategic priorities and customer needs into clearly defined project scopes, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and commitments.
  • Partner with functional leaders on annual strategic planning, forecasting, project prioritization, and benefits validation.
  • Guide diverse stakeholder groups through ambiguous problem statements, facilitating discussions and turning ideas into structured action plans and sustainable solutions.
  • Influence stakeholders and drive decisions without relying on formal authority, ensuring alignment around priorities and expected outcomes.
  • Coordinate project implementation, change adoption, and the transition of completed initiatives to accountable business owners.
  • Define project success measures, monitor KPIs, manage risks, and track progress toward expected benefits.
  • Communicate complex project information clearly to executive leaders, technical experts, business partners, and operational teams.
  • Collaborate with IT, technical and data teams, and third-party vendors to ensure effective project execution.
  • Identify opportunities to use approved digital tools, automation, and AI to simplify workflows and reduce administrative effort.
  • Contribute to shared project management standards, tools, and methodologies, incorporating lessons learned into reusable practices.
  • Coach project owners and cross-functional teams to strengthen accountability, collaboration, and independent execution.
Requirements
  • The ideal candidate is a structured, adaptable, and influential project management professional who can navigate complexity, build stakeholder trust, and consistently turn discussions into measurable results.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Project Management, or another relevant discipline.
  • At least 7 years of professional project management experience in manufacturing, industrial, consulting, or a related environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of project management fundamentals, with proven experience independently managing projects from initial concept through implementation and benefits realization.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience defining project success measures, managing risks, establishing KPIs, and validating business benefits.
  • Proven ability to influence and align cross-functional stakeholders without direct managerial authority.
  • Comfortable collaborating with IT teams, technical stakeholders, and external vendors without needing to be the technical subject matter expert.
  • Experience working effectively in remote, global environments, with meetings primarily aligned to Eastern Time.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, facilitation, and reporting skills, with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to adapt communication approaches to executive leadership, technical experts, business partners, and frontline operational teams.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Teams, Copilot, and Outlook.
  • Willingness and ability to travel periodically, primarily within North America.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing projects in manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • PMP certification or an equivalent project management qualification.
  • Familiarity with Smartsheet or similar project management information systems (PMIS).
  • Confidence presenting to stakeholders, facilitating workshops, and delivering training.
Key Success Factors
  • Ability to quickly understand complex project situations and identify the actions needed to move initiatives forward.
  • Strong organizational skills combined with flexibility and adaptability when priorities change.
  • Confidence challenging assumptions and guiding teams toward clear decisions.
  • Consistent communication, accountability, and follow-through on commitments.
  • Ability to build credibility and lead effectively through influence rather than formal authority.
Benefits
  • Annual base salary range of $105,000–$125,000, depending on relevant skills, experience, geographic location, and internal equity.
  • Potential short-term and long-term incentive compensation.
  • Comprehensive healthcare coverage.
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan.
  • Paid company holidays.
  • Paid vacation and sick time.
  • Parental leave.
  • Short-term and long-term disability coverage.
  • Tuition reimbursement.
  • Employee Assistance Program.
  • Fully remote working arrangement within the United States.
  • Opportunities to work on diverse, high-impact projects with international teams and business leaders.
  • Support for continued professional development and project management certification.
  • Periodic travel, primarily within North America, estimated at approximately 4–6 weeks annually.
