Job summary

Rivian is seeking a Lead Global Supply Manager based onsite in Palo Alto, CA, to lead strategic sourcing and supplier lifecycle management for Rivian’s vehicle programs including R1, R2, R3, and EVs. You will own complex supplier relationships and drive cost targets while managing large, cross-functional projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Engineering plus 6+ years of related experience.
• Significant experience managing end-to-end procurement lifecycles.
• Experience developing multi-source strategies for semiconductor types; knowledge of roadmaps; should-cost analysis.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing: lead large projects with medium-high vehicle spend for complex semiconductor components.
• Systems & Process: act as an expert user of procurement systems and onboard/train new team members.
• Technical Understanding: manage board-level semiconductor components; identify risks to support vehicle programs.
• Negotiations: negotiate terms with limited legal involvement using non-monetary tradeoffs.
• Supplier Management: maintain relationships with supplier senior management and manage sub-suppliers.
• Stakeholder Management: communicate with internal/external stakeholders to mitigate risk.
• Project Management & Risk Mitigation: identify and mitigate risks to see resolutions through to completion.
