Job summary

Rivian, a leading electric vehicle company, seeks a Lead Global Supply Manager to own strategic sourcing, supplier selection, and lifecycle management for vehicle programs (R1–R, R2, R3, ERVs). You will lead commercial relationships, navigate cost targets, and drive risk-prevention across cross-functional teams.

This onsite role is based in Irvine, CA or Plymouth, MI and reports to the Senior Manager of Global Supply Management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Engineering required.
• 6+ years of relevant experience in procurement and supply management.
• Experience driving commodity strategies for complex programs.
• Expert use of SAP and analytical tools for cost and risk analysis.
• Excellent communication and ability to gain buy-in from stakeholders.
• Proven ability to resolve complex problems with multiple variables.
• Ability to manage high-workload across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic sourcing for vehicle programs (drive unit commodities) and manage supplier selection.
• Steer negotiations with minimal legal involvement to meet Rivian targets.
• Manage supplier relationships at senior levels and track sub-suppliers for risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement strategy with program goals.
• Manage large, autonomous projects with strong focus on risk mapping and timely delivery.
• Implement robust processes for onboarding procurement system users and driving compliance.
• Act as advisor across functions to balance cost, schedule, and quality.
