Job summary

Syngenta is seeking a seasoned Production Leader to develop, supervise and advance a regional network of production personnel. You will drive succession planning, improve processes, and ensure alignment with the Seed Production Plan while balancing quality and cost.

This role requires a global mindset, cross-functional collaboration across Sourcing, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance and R&D, plus strong data analytics to guide decisions and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Master or Bachelor degree in agriculture or business.
• Functional knowledge of seed production operations and vendor management.
• Experience in planning and agriculture business processes.
• Fluent in English.
• Global mindset and experience working in a multi-cultural, cross functional environment.
• Financial knowledge and data analytics.

Responsibilities

• Develop, supervise & lead a network of regional production personnel with clear accountabilities and plans for succession and development.
• Build organizational capability to meet COGS and product quality challenges while expanding the product offer.
• Create a platform for the global production community to connect, cooperate and share best practices; set actions to execute the Seed Production Plan.
• Achieve full function-wide compliance with HSE, product quality, Code of Conduct and risk management processes; develop internal standards and compliance processes.
• Collaborate with Processing, Global Seed Sourcing, Supply OPS, Quality, Finance, Procurement and Supply Chain; interface with R&D and other functions to implement strategies.
• Engage in crop and operational planning to meet business objectives; ensure risks are understood and delivery is on plan.
• Collect and analyze production data with Global Seed Sourcing to promote continuous improvement.
• Develop crop production strategies and investment plans; implement field management processes measured by KPI.
• Deliver the approved SPP (QQTP) within tolerances; develop budgets and justify unplanned spend.
