Job summary

Syngenta Vegetables and Flowers is seeking a skilled Seed Production Coordinator to execute LSV seed plans and ensure timely supply of high-quality seed. You will liaise with supply chain, R&D, growers, and vendors to optimize production and delivery.

You will develop grower evaluation systems, lead field planning, and implement agronomic programs to improve yields, quality and safety. Travel will be extensive during peak times.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Agronomy or related field; experience welcomed.
• Knowledge of seed production procedures, practices and terminology.
• Strong communication, leadership and project management skills.
• Proficient PC and business software skills.
• Ability to travel during peak times and work 7 days a week during critical periods.
• Valid driver's license and work authorization in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Execute seed production plans to ensure timely supply of high-quality seed.
• Coordinate with SC, R&D, growers and vendors for genetics delivery.
• Contract growers and vendors to maximize yield and control costs.
• Develop grower/vendor evaluation systems to boost yields and quality.
• Lead field planning, SAP data entry, and field recipes for production.
• Provide agronomic recommendations and pest management strategies.
• Sign vendor contracts and manage QMS meetings.
