Job summary

Palantir Technologies is seeking a Security Systems Engineer to design, implement, and maintain physical security systems across global locations. You will lead projects with security professionals, architects, lawyers, and software/network engineers to ensure safe, secure operations.

The role emphasizes reducing operational friction, collaborating across time zones, and delivering end-to-end security solutions. Travel up to 25% is expected, with hybrid/onsite flexibility depending on team needs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience maintaining, installing, managing and problem-solving on security systems and related technologies.
• Proficiency with enterprise Video Management Systems, enterprise Physical Access Control Systems, Intruder Detection Systems, Communication Systems, and security hardware.
• Proficiency with programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, JavaScript, or similar languages.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee the technical aspects of your projects from conception to full deployment.
• Systems naturally break and need maintenance. You'll work with vendors and end users to find the best solutions for a problem, in the shortest possible time.
• Leverage both system and software engineering skills to address the needs of all teams within Global Safety and Security.
• Prepare and document standard operating procedures, protocols, and security standards.
• Responsible for scheduling, testing, and implementing enhancements or new releases of server operating systems.
• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for all project phases.
• Regularly present project updates, status reports, and risk summaries to leadership.
• Ensure that all deliverables meet internal security policies, regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, NIST, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS), and industry standards.
• Validate that implemented security controls are effective and meet project goals before project closure.
• Prioritize tasks across competing deadlines and manage scope changes gracefully.
