Job summary

Cardinal Health, Inc. is seeking a Security Advisor to join the Global Security Team in overseeing risk mitigation, incident response, and program consistency across responsible regions.

The role supports the Regional Security Director in developing and implementing security programs. The ideal candidate will coordinate governance, coordinate security plans, and lead efforts to minimize threats to facilities and personnel while ensuring compliance with policies and standards across distribution

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and/or High School diploma preferred.
• 4+ years of experience in related field, preferred.
• Advanced degree and/or professional certification (CPP, PSP, etc.) preferred.
• Prior supervisory experience managing contracted guard forces in a supply chain or distribution environment preferred.
• Experience in Enterprise Security Risk Management practices and their implementation.
• Experience with security policies and procedures in distribution/warehouse environments.
• Security, investigations, and contract security services management in supply chain or pharmaceutical industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages day-to-day activities and audits the performance of site contract security officers (e.g., Securitas).
• Manages vendor administrative functions and post orders updates.
• Develops and implements Security Officer procedures in partnership with leadership.
• Manages training of contracted team to meet site requirements.
• Enforces entry/exit and gate control procedures for carriers and visitors.
• Reports monthly security incidents and metrics.
