Job summary

The Gideons International is seeking a Supply Chain Planner to support end-to-end planning for scripture materials across forecasting, inventory management, and logistics. You will coordinate with procurement, warehousing, and distribution to align plans with ministry priorities and print schedules.

The role emphasizes data-driven forecasting, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement to maintain optimal global scripture inventory and meet member needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• 5+ years in supply chain planning, demand planning, inventory management, procurement coordination, or logistics.
• Experience with Excel and Office applications for reporting and analysis.
• Ability to learn new software and work cross-functionally across departments.

Responsibilities

• Demand Forecasting: Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts from historical data and goals.
• Data Analysis: Analyze scripture usage, inventory levels, and ministry conditions to identify trends.
• Supply Planning: Translate demand signals into replenishment plans considering lead times and capacity.
• Collaboration: Work with publishing, procurement, warehousing, and logistics teams to align plans.
• Inventory Management: Optimize global scripture inventory to meet demand and minimize excess stock.
• Reporting: Prepare reports on demand forecasts, inventory status, and deviations.
• Process Improvement: Enhance forecasting accuracy and efficiency using tools and best practices.
• KPI Monitoring: Track forecast accuracy, lead times, fill rates, and inventory health.
