Job summary

HIAS is seeking a Vice President, Global Safety & Security to lead safety and security strategy and operations across the organization, advising executives and safeguarding staff and program participants.

The role spans the US and global offices, with hybrid work options (Silver Spring, MD or New York, NY) and potential remote arrangements for eligible applicants outside commuting distance. The salary range is $140,323–$160,000.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience required.
• Significant leadership experience in global safety and security.
• Experience in insecure environments and executive protection.
• Fluent English with strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead global safety and security strategy and operations.
• Advise executive leadership and coordinate with internal teams.
• Develop safety policies, incident response and crisis management.
• Support country offices with security programs and risk assessments.
