Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. (AWS AIS) is seeking a Global Safety Engineer to lead safety programs for AWS hardware engineering and design teams.

You will provide technical leadership on safety standards, risk assessments, and safe design practices across multiple projects and geographies. You will collaborate with data center health and safety teams, engineering labs, and compliance partners to ensure designs meet electrical codes and industry best practices while supporting AWS growth and safety

Qualifications

3+ years of technical product or program management experience.
3+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk and critical path management.
3+ years of working directly with engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Ensure Global Safety Engineering Team and Partner teams build safe products and programs.
Implement Inherently Safe Design principles within work processes and new equipment/product designs.
Provide H&S input during product scoping and design reviews.
Conduct preliminary design risk assessments during the Engineering Validation/Testing phase.
Provide technical guidance on equipment/product design and safety issues.
