Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Global Safety Engineer to support AWS Hardware Engineering and Design teams, providing technical leadership on safe design and risk assessment across product life cycles.

You will collaborate with hardware, software, and facilities teams to implement Inherently Safe Design, conduct preliminary risk assessments, and drive safety compliance while aligning with AWS growth and sustainability goals.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of technical product or program management experience.
• 3+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk and critical path management.
• Bachelor's degree in Health and Safety or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Health and Safety requirements to ensure Global Safety Engineering Team and Partner teams build safe products and programs around these requirements.
• Work with Data Center Health and Safety teams and stakeholders to implement Inherently Safe Design principles within work processes and new equipment/product designs.
• Provide HS input during the product scoping phase to ensure HS workplace safety concerns are identified.
• Evaluate equipment and activities in the field against the risk assessment, SOPs and MOPs.
• Provide technical support including input into product development at the Global Safety Engineering Innovation lab and labs in Seattle.
