Job summary

Remitly seeks a senior leader to head the financial crime intelligence and strategic investigations capability. You will own typology development, detection strategy, and external engagement with law enforcement and FIUs across jurisdictions.

You will define operating models, analytics tradecraft, and product sets while guiding a globally distributed team of analysts and investigators. This role requires executive communication and a proven track record in complex investigations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in financial crime, with regulatory, law enforcement, FIU, or senior FCT roles.
• Deep expertise in high-risk typologies: trafficking, sanctions evasion, terrorist financing, money laundering.
• Experience building and sustaining law enforcement and FIU relationships.
• Proven track record leading complex investigations end-to-end.
• Ability translate intelligence into detection logic with data science and engineering partners.

Responsibilities

• Own Remitly's high-risk typology view across corridors, products, and channels.
• Define detection scenarios and collaborate with TM, Data Science, and Engineering to build them.
• Lead strategic investigations and refer findings to business units for action.
• Set governance for intelligence findings to durable controls and reporting.
