Job summary

Remitly seeks an experienced financial crime investigator to own complex casework, develop typologies, and oversee detection effectiveness. You will combine transactional data analysis with public records and law enforcement input to produce actionable intelligence for global operations.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years in investigations, strong SQL skills, and experience engaging with regulators. This role offers hybrid onsite work in Seattle with Remitly’s global security focus.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in financial crime investigations, financial intelligence, law enforcement, or intelligence analysis.
• Experience handling complex or proactive investigations.
• Strong OSINT and public records research skills.
• Ability to document cases defensibly and communicate clearly to senior stakeholders.
• Experience interacting with law enforcement or regulators.

Responsibilities

• Carry complex casework end to end, including high severity investigations.
• Develop typologies and detection requirements for monitoring.
• Oversee detection effectiveness and report on outcomes to stakeholders.
• Provide guidance to investigators and ensure quality of investigations.
• Engage with law enforcement and FIUs as needed.
