Job summary

Westlake in Houston, TX seeks a senior leader to drive global risk management and Insurance strategy. You will set the vision and deliver it to the company using strong leadership, internal/external alliances, and broad business acumen.

You’ll optimize risk as a competitive advantage and guide enterprise risk across regions. The role demands 15–20 years in risk management and insurance, with an MBA and/or JD preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.
• 15-20 years of relevant experience in risk management and insurance.
• MBA and/or JD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee the Company’s global insurance program and lead cross-functional risk management processes across functions.
• Lead global enterprise risk management program proactively monitoring and ensuring mitigation of risks.
• Provide people leadership by directing cross-functional risk initiatives and fostering collaboration.
• Direct and oversee the Company’s global insurance program including property, general liability, casualty, and excess insurance.
• Develop and execute strategies to manage risk through direct insurance, self-insurance, and reinsurance, while controlling costs.
• Engage with insurance underwriters and external brokers to reflect risk programs in coverages.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
