Job summary

SmartRecruiters, Inc. seeks a Director of Revenue Recognition in Costa Mesa to lead global revenue accounting, reporting and controls. You will govern complex contracts, royalties and cost-of-sales, applying ASC guidance and authoritative literature to ensure accurate statements.

The role requires CPA with 6+ years of experience and strong leadership to drive process improvements, control enhancements and cross-department collaboration with Legal, Sales and Finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
• CPA with 6+ years of public/private experience preferred.
• Experience with ASC 605 and related revenue recognition literature.

Responsibilities

• Support and own revenue recognition process across contracts and journals.
• Review orders and contracts for proper revenue treatment and elements.
• Perform fair value analyses for multi-element arrangements.
• Audit orders for revenue recognition, data entry and billing accuracy.
• Communicate impacts of contract terms to management and negotiate structures.
