Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Program Manager II to lead the Worldwide Grocery Stores food safety audit program, partnering with third-party auditors, safety analysts, store leadership, and cross-functional teams to ensure FDA Food Code compliance.

You will manage day-to-day audit execution, KPI scorecards, data analysis, and process improvements, while supporting escalations with Operations. Travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of program or project management experience.
• Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams.
• 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics.
• Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables, charts, multiple criteria lookups).
• Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
• 5+ years of managing food safety and quality in a large-scale retail or manufacturing environment.
• Travel up to 25% of the time.
• CP-FS (Certified Professional – Food Safety) certification, or a comparable certification.
• Expertise in the FDA Food Code and retail food delivery/audit programs.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day execution of the Food Safety Audits programs, including the 3P Food Safety audit cycle — scheduling, coverage, standards alignment, and data integrity.
• Own accountability to the 3P Food Safety Auditor’s KPI scorecard; monitor audit completion, on-time delivery, scoring consistency, and finding-closure metrics.
• Manage the relationship with the 3P audit provider — align on audit standards and expectations, resolve data and scoring discrepancies.
• Analyze and trend large audit data sets to identify emerging Food Safety risks and improvement opportunities.
• Verify Food Safety policy and the FDA Food Code are reflected in audit standards and scoring criteria.
• Support Food Safety escalations arising from audits; track corrective actions to closure with Operations.
• Optimize audit procedures, processes, and reporting cycle time; anticipate bottlenecks and mitigate risks.
• Publish audit performance and trend content for WWGS Business Reviews; communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with AMZ & WFM stakeholders to align audit processes with policy and Operations needs.
