Job summary

Tufts University is seeking a Research Compliance Specialist within the Office of the Vice Provost for Research (OVPR) to help implement Export Controls, COI and GDPR/PIPL programs. The role provides guidance, tracks metrics, and ensures adherence to federal, state and local regulations while supporting researchers and the Tufts community.

Responsibilities

• Export Controls Coordination: assist in implementing the Export Controls program and collect, manage, and distribute metrics.
• Conflict of Interest (COI) Coordination: assist with annual COI disclosure process and manage COI metrics.
• GDPR/PIPL and related regulatory reviews: serve as SME, review study documents for GDPR/PIPL compliance, and coordinate with IRB and Information Security.
• Administrative tasks: manage Data Use Agreements and provide support to Research Compliance unit.
