Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise Development LP in Roseville, California is seeking a Regulatory Compliance Engineer to help design, test, and certify electrical hardware in accordance with global regulatory requirements. The role leads regulatory activities across the product lifecycle, collaborating with engineering, suppliers, and OEM/ODM partners.

Hybrid work arrangement with 2 days/week in-office is provided, and candidates should have strong EMI/EMC, safety, and certification expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 5–10 years of industry experience in electrical/hardware engineering and regulatory compliance.
• 5–10 years of experience with product regulatory compliance and certification.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience using electrical engineering design tools and software packages.
• Strong understanding of electrical hardware design principles and product development processes.

Responsibilities

• Design and evaluate electrical components and systems for regulatory compliance.
• Develop test strategies including EMI/EMC, safety, reliability, and power.
• Lead regulatory activities through the product development lifecycle.
• Represent Electrical Hardware on global regulatory requirements.
• Lead cross-functional teams to deliver compliant solutions.
• Collaborate with suppliers and OEM/ODM partners on regulatory risks.
• Provide mentorship to engineers.
• Participate in hardware and material design reviews for compliance.
• Develop regulatory strategies and testing plans.
• Manage global product certification activities.
• Review regulatory test reports and prepare documentation.
• Work with Safety Agencies (UL, CSA, TÜV) during design phases.
