Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior rebates accounting/operations professional in the United States (Arizona) to standardize accrual methods, own the GRASP accrual model, and drive automation across finance processes. The role requires advanced Excel, data analytics, and experience with SOX controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field.
• 4+ years of rebates accounting/operations experience with degree; or 3+ years with Master's.
• Experience with accrual methodologies, forecasting/variance analysis, and end-to-end process understanding.
• Strong analytical and tooling capability, including advanced Excel.
• Comfort operating in structured templates and data-driven models.
• Experience driving organizational adoption through training, user enablement, and stakeholder support across global teams.
• Ability to work flexible hours across multiple geographies and time zones.
• Preferred: experience with SOX-relevant process environments and audit interactions/requirements.
• Preferred: experience with Vistex/ECC and/or V4 concepts.
• Preferred: experience with Python, Power Query, VBA macros, or KNIME.
• Preferred: strong executive communication skills and ability to explain model logic, risks, limitations, and exception rationale.

Responsibilities

• Standardize and govern product-level rebate accrual and inventory/payment methods.
• Own the GRASP product-level accrual algorithm model, including integrity and automation enhancements.
• Support the TPT FIFO method, including buffer logic and throughput-time assumption derivation.
• Maintain exception rules and override governance with rationale and supporting methodology.
• Interpret outputs, analyze variances, and drive model enhancements.
• Support financial and operational systems reporting and automate, streamline, and standardize processes.
• Support rollout, stabilization, UAT simulations, and cutover readiness.
• Advise account teams during onboarding and stabilization.
• Develop enablement artifacts using Excel formulas, Power Query, and macros.
• Guide edge-case handling consistent with policy and process design.
• Partner with controls stakeholders on SOX relevance, documentation, auditability, and high-risk control execution.
• Lead cross-functional stakeholder alignment across CAO, IT, SMG regional representatives, rebate analysts, and audit/compliance stakeholders.
• Develop financial models for performance measurement and rolling forecasts.
• Translate technical accounting and process concepts into guidance and decision options.
• Support Vistex/V4 readiness and adoption, including reporting, analytics, finance systems, UAT, and payment adjustment review and approval.
