Job summary

Base is building from the ground up a comprehensive raw materials sourcing capability to underpin its growing battery and structural materials program. Qualifications

• Experience owning a raw or bulk materials category at an OEM or industrial manufacturer.
• Ability to build a sourcing strategy and supplier base from scratch.
• Fluency in commodity market dynamics and pricing mechanisms.

Responsibilities

• Own commercial sourcing for adhesives, TIM, potting compounds, chemicals, and paint across the Base Core BOM.
• Build upstream materials sourcing strategy (lithium, graphite, steel, aluminum, etc.) to support scaling.
• Track pricing, supply risk, and geographic concentration to inform make-vs-buy and hedging decisions.
• Partner with Metals, Cells category leads and Manufacturing Engineering to align raw materials strategy.
