Qualifications

• 20+ years of progressively responsible experience in regulatory policy, policy or external affairs.
• Deep understanding of global drug development, regulatory systems, policy and advocacy.
• Strong strategic judgment translating complex issues into actionable recommendations.
• Proven ability to lead across regions and functions in a matrixed organization.

Responsibilities

• Set vision, strategy, priorities, decision rights, investment choices, and operating model for GRPI.
• Determine enterprise regulatory policy agenda and prioritization decisions.
• Oversee Global Regulatory Asset Policy and Global R&D Policy as complementary capabilities.
• Lead the GRPI senior leadership team and set expectations for regional policy, intelligence and research.
• Represent GRPI in senior governance bodies and provide decision-ready advice on regulatory, legislative, geopolitical, and scientific issues.
• Own external influence strategy and manage key health authority, trade association, coalition, and policy relationships.
• Advise senior executives on external engagements with clear objectives and aligned Takeda positions.
• Partner with Heads of US & International Public Affairs and Regulatory Legal to coordinate strategies.
