Job summary

Merck seeks an experienced Quality Leader to oversee an enterprise-level transformation within the Global Quality Group of the Manufacturing Division, transforming QC testing with end-to-end analytical digitization, lab automation, standardized workflows, and a digitized QMS and lab operations system.

The role partners with executive sponsors and cross-functional teams to manage governance, risks, and interdependencies, delivering the program from planning to regulatory filing and operational

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree strongly preferred.
• 15+ years in quality, pharmaceutical development, manufacturing, or related biopharmaceutical functions.
• Leadership in CGMP laboratories subject to FDA inspections.
• Experience with laboratory technology development and implementation.
• Experience with GxP, quality and compliance-driven management programs.

Responsibilities

• Set strategic Quality direction and translate it into an end-to-end program plan.
• Direct decision forums, manage risks, and coordinate interdependencies across cross-functional teams.
• Drive technology transformation, analytics, and lab innovation while maintaining regulatory alignment.
• Provide data-driven insights to executives and enable transition to sustainable operations.
