Job summary

Merck is seeking a Global Quality Leader to provide strategic direction for an enterprise-level transformation program transforming QC testing with end-to-end digital lab capabilities and regulatory alignment. The role will coordinate with executive sponsors and delivery teams to ensure goals are met on an aggressive timeline.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (PhD, MBA, PharmD, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
• 15+ years of experience in quality, pharmaceutical development, manufacturing or related biopharmaceutical functions.
• Leadership experience with CGMP testing laboratories subject to FDA inspections.
• Demonstrated experience using an innovative mindset to improve workflows.
• Experience in development and implementation of laboratory technology.
• Experience in GxP, quality, and compliance-driven management programs.
• Strong governance, structured execution, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills.
• Proven experience leading enterprise-level technology transformation or lab innovation programs.

Responsibilities

• Set strategic quality direction and translate into an integrated end-to-end program plan.
• Direct decision forums, manage risks, assumptions, constraints, and interdependencies.
• Act as the link between sponsors and delivery teams with data-driven insights.
• Drive technology and operating model transformation aligned with regulatory requirements.
• Enable adoption and transition outcomes into sustainable operations.
