Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Global Quality Tech Manager within the GBQ program to lead QA/QC governance across data center design, construction, and retrofit, ensuring safety and performance standards are met.

You will define global quality metrics, maintain a QMS, and collaborate with stakeholders across regions to drive standardization and lessons learned into scalable improvements. This role focuses initially on construction and commissioning, with expansion to post-completion support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical engineering or related field is required or 1+ years of construction/project management experience.
• 5+ years in quality management with strong background in electrical and/or mechanical construction.
• Experience developing and implementing quality standards across multiple projects or regions.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to define metrics, KPIs, and measurement frameworks.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Develop, publish, and maintain global QA/QC standards, policies, frameworks, and procedures for data center construction across AWS regions.
• Establish and enforce global quality control plan templates, inspection checklists, acceptance criteria, and standardized documentation.
• Define global quality metrics and KPIs to benchmark performance across regions and projects.
• Create and maintain a global quality management system (QMS) ensuring consistency across project phases.
• Develop standardized design review criteria focused on constructability, long-term maintenance, and quality assurance.
