Job summary

Morgan Advanced Materials is seeking a Quality Manager in Shanghai to lead the site’s quality activities and drive continuous improvement. You will manage investigations, lead audits, and coordinate improvements with manufacturing, engineering and customer-facing teams to safeguard product quality and customer satisfaction.

Your role will be to maintain the Quality Management System, implement CAPAs, and ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and related standards while supporting

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in quality management within a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and ideally CRCC requirements
• Experience using APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA and other core quality tools
• A structured approach to problem-solving using methodologies such as Six Sigma, 8D, 5 Why and PDCA
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into meaningful actions
• Experience leading improvement initiatives and influencing cross-functional teams
• Team leadership or people management experience
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills
• A practical mindset and the confidence to challenge the status quo when improvements are needed

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve the site's Quality Management System
• Plan and conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and related standards
• Drive root cause investigations and corrective actions for production and quality issues
• Lead customer complaint investigations and prepare 8D reports
• Support APQP activities, quality planning and PPAP submissions
• Develop and maintain quality control plans, inspection standards and work instructions
• Analyse quality performance data and identify opportunities for improvement
• Partner with manufacturing, engineering and customer-facing teams to resolve problems quickly and effectively
• Coordinate warranty and aftermarket quality issues, ensuring customers receive timely updates and resolutions
• Report quality performance, risks and improvement activities to site leadership
