Job summary

Antunes in Illinois seeks a Quality Director to lead the global quality program, aligning ISO 9001 and supporting ISO 14001/45001. You’ll drive FPY, COPQ, and warranty cost reductions while shaping the QA strategy across operations, R&D, supply chain, and international plants.

This leadership role requires extensive manufacturing quality experience, six sigma knowledge, and the ability to travel up to 15% to China and India facilities to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quality or equivalent; Master’s preferred.
• 10+ years in quality with manufacturing experience.
• Experience with ISO 9001, 14001 or 45001.
• ASQ CMQ/OE or CQE and Six Sigma belts desirable.
• Knowledge of GD&T.
• Project management with CE/CSA/FDA/NSF/UL familiarity.
• Strong analytical and independent decision-making.
• Proficiency with MS Office and QA tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality strategy across ISO systems and ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with Ops, R&D, Supply Chain, and global plants.
• Drive FPY, COPQ, and warranty cost improvements.
• Develop inspection reports from incoming to final inspections.
• Lead 8D problem solving and countermeasures.
• Oversee quality, maintenance, and custodial teams.
• Travel up to 15% internationally (to China/India facilities).
• Ensure regulatory compliance (EPA, OSHA, CE, UL, NSF).
• Create inspection policies and training programs.
• Draft corrective actions and document findings.
