Job summary

Flagshipacc, a leading national consumer finance company, is seeking a Sr. QA/SDET Manager in Tempe, AZ to lead a globally distributed quality engineering organization. You will own test strategy across manual testing, automation, and application security, while guiding onsite, offshore, and nearshore teams.

You will define the automation framework, establish release readiness criteria, and drive quality metrics for engineering leadership. This is a strategic role for fintech quality leadership.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software QA/engineering, 5+ years leading QA/SDET teams.
• Experience managing globally distributed teams (onsite/offshore/nearshore).
• Financial services/fintech exposure and regulatory familiarity preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/Engineering.
• QA certifications (ISTQB/AC) are a plus.
• Hands-on with test automation frameworks for web/API/mobile.
• Strong QA methodologies, Agile SDLC, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with test management and defect-tracking tools.
• Knowledge of performance/load testing tools.

Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and mentor a QA/SDET org across locations and vendors.
• Define and evolve quality engineering strategy, test methodology, and maturity roadmap.
• Establish test planning, entry/exit criteria, defects, and release readiness.
• Own automation strategy and framework across UI, API, and services.
• Oversee functional, regression, exploratory, UAT, and end-to-end testing.
• Coordinate application security testing with InfoSec (SAST/DAST/SCA).
• Drive quality metrics: coverage, defect density, automation ROI, MTTR.
• Manage staffing, hiring, and career development for direct and matrixed teams.
• Partner with Eng, Product, DevOps, and InfoSec on release schedules and risk decisions.
