Job summary

General Motors is seeking motivated students for its Global Purchasing & Supply Chain Internship. You will be assigned to Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Logistics pillars, sourcing key parts and supporting production planning, while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to optimize cost, quality, and delivery.

The program emphasizes hands-on experience, exposure to AI-enabled tools, and teamwork in a hybrid work setting at GM facilities in Warren, MI. Start dates are May or June 2027.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in one of the listed fields.
• Must be graduating between December 2027 and August 2029.
• Able to work fulltime, 40 hours per week during the summer.

Responsibilities

• Source key parts and technologies for GM vehicles and EVs.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to balance cost, quality, timing and innovation with suppliers.
• Plan and support vehicle production to ensure parts availability.
• Support inbound/outbound logistics and optimize packaging and routes.
