Job summary

General Motors is seeking enthusiastic students for our Global Purchasing & Supply Chain Internship Program in the United States. You will dive into sourcing, planning, and logistics across Purchasing, Supply Chain, and Logistics pillars.

This hybrid internship is designed for current students eager to gain hands-on experience with real-world impact. Selected interns join a cross-functional team, collaborate on cost/quality/lead-time trade-offs, and contribute to sustainable, AGI-enabled

Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Packaging, Purchasing, Procurement/Acquisitions, Business, Industrial/Mechanical/General Engineering, Business Analytics or MIS.
Must be graduating between December 2027 and August 2029.
Able to work fulltime, 40 hours per week during the summer months.

Responsibilities

Source key parts, systems and technologies for GM vehicles and future EV products.
Partner with cross-functional teams to balance cost, quality, timing and innovation with suppliers.
Plan and support vehicle/propulsion production to ensure parts availability.
Use data to manage demand, material changes and day-to-day supply chain operations.
Support inbound/outbound logistics and design packaging/routes to reduce cost and improve delivery.
