Job summary

Plastpro in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Purchasing Supervisor to oversee day-to-day purchasing activities, coordinate material orders, and supervise the purchasing team. You will work closely with the Senior Purchasing Manager to ensure timely ordering and delivery of materials for manufacturing.

The role requires strong supplier negotiation skills, experience with international suppliers, and proficiency in Excel and ERP systems.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of purchasing/procurement experience in manufacturing.
• Experience supervising or leading purchasing staff preferred.
• Experience with international suppliers (China/Taiwan) is desirable.
• Mandarin proficiency strongly preferred for supplier communication.
• Experience with purchase orders, invoicing, and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Purchasing & material orders management for raw materials, components, and services.
• Coordinate inventory-related purchasing from China and Taiwan suppliers.
• Issue and manage purchase orders per guidelines and track deliveries.
• Supervise purchasing team members and train on procedures.
• Support ERP improvements and purchasing process enhancements.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Planning, Warehouse and other teams.
• Monitor supplier performance and lead times, escalate issues.
