Job summary

Encoded Therapeutics is seeking an Associate Director, Global Publications to lead strategic publication planning across preclinical and clinical assets. The role collaborates with Clinical Development, Biometrics, Translational Research, Regulatory, and Medical Affairs to ensure scientific accuracy and timely dissemination of study findings.

The position requires extensive medical writing experience, leadership of publication steering committees, and management of external agencies.

Qualifications

• Minimum twelve years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or eight years with a master’s degree; or a PhD with 3–5 years of experience.
• Experience in medical writing, publications, or scientific communications within biotech/pharma or medical communications agency.
• Ability to draft clear scientific content and translate data for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic global publication planning across preclinical and clinical assets.
• Drive end-to-end development of manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and presentations.
• Collaborate with Clinical Development, Biometrics, Translational Research, Regulatory, and Medical Affairs to ensure accuracy and timely publication.
• Establish and manage Publication Steering Committees and author working groups.
• Manage external agencies, writers, and graphics vendors in alignment with standards.
• Ensure adherence to publication policies, GPP guidelines, and regulatory standards.
• Oversee publication management software workflows, MLR reviews, and author agreements.
• Support congress strategy and disclosures aligned with key congresses; coordinate session coverage and post-congress debriefs.
• Support for patient advocacy and HEOR publications as needed.
• Travel internationally and domestically as required.
