Job summary

Cloudflare is hiring a Global PubSec Transaction Attorney to support government contracts across the U.S. federal market, state and local, and select APAC and EMEA opportunities.

This attorney will partner with Sales, Public Sector, Finance, Deal Desk, Security, Privacy, Product, and other legal and operational stakeholders to structure, negotiate, and close complex transactions with government customers and public sector partners.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school and bar membership.
• 5+ years of legal experience, with public sector focus.
• Experience negotiating U.S. federal/state/local gov contracts.
• Experience with SaaS, cloud, cybersecurity procurement.

Responsibilities

• Advise on and negotiate public sector agreements across federal, state, local contracts.
• Draft and negotiate MSAs, DPAs, security exhibits, and procurement terms.
• Coordinate with Sales, Public Sector, Finance, and other teams.
• Evaluate RFPs/RFIs and security questionnaires.
• Develop scalable contracting processes and playbooks.
• Provide risk-based recommendations to business partners.
• Manage post-award handoff and compliance obligations.
