Job summary

PriceSmart is seeking an Associate Vice President, Global Promotion Planning and Operations to lead the global promo and event capability. You will define the operating model, governance, and execution standards across markets, ensuring financial integrity of vendor funding and scalable processes.

Responsibilities include overseeing the promo calendar, building enterprise-wide governance, and partnering with Merchandising, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain to drive performance and growth.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in retail promotions, events, and vendor funding.
• Proven ability to lead large, geographically distributed teams.
• Strong capability to design operating models, governance and processes.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve PriceSmart's global promo and event operating model.
• Govern the promo calendar across markets, balancing global consistency with local flexibility.
• Establish governance, prioritization, and decision-rights across key stakeholders.
• Oversee systems, standards, and governance for accurate promo execution.
• Own vendor funding governance, including trade funds and deductions.
• Partner with Buying, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain to improve forecasting and performance.
