Job description

Internship Job title:Global Project Management Intern, Summer 2027

Department/Division: Marketing / Global Project Management

Hourly Range: $24.36-$25.55

Location: Ada, MI (Onsite)

*Note: This position is an office role, and you must be able to report in-person to Ada on Mondays through Thursdays, with Friday as a remote optional day

What’s special about this team:

The Global Nutrition Project Management team plays a critical role in bringing new products to market and ensuring the long-term success of Amway's Nutrition portfolio. The team manages approximately 60 active projects at any given time, balancing both new product development initiatives and sales continuity efforts across global markets.

As Amway's Nutrition portfolio evolves toward a health outcomes-based strategy, the team is helping drive large-scale transformation efforts that impact product development, commercialization, global regulatory requirements, ingredient sourcing, and portfolio optimization. This includes rethinking how products are developed, marketed, and launched by implementing new processes and innovative approaches to portfolio management.

The team works across a wide range of functions and partners around the world, making it an exciting environment for someone who enjoys collaboration, problem-solving, and driving change. Artificial Intelligence is also becoming an increasingly important part of the team's strategy as they explore new ways to improve productivity, data analysis, decision-making, and process efficiency.

How would an intern contribute to the team’s success:

The intern will support priority transformation initiatives across the Global Nutrition Project Management organization. Working alongside project managers, business leaders, and cross-functional partners, the intern will help analyze business processes, identify improvement opportunities, support project planning activities, and develop insights that inform strategic decisions.

This role is ideal for a student interested in project management, business transformation, change management, and innovation. The intern will gain exposure to both operational and strategic work while contributing to initiatives that directly impact the future of Amway's Nutrition portfolio.

Projects may evolve throughout the summer based on business priorities, offering the intern a dynamic and highly visible experience.

An example of a typical project would be:
Example #1 - Portfolio Transformation Analysis
  • Evaluate existing product portfolios to identify overlaps, gaps, and opportunities for simplification as the business transitions to a health outcomes-based strategy. Present findings and recommendations to project and business leaders.
Example #2 - AI and Process Improvement Initiatives
  • Research and assess opportunities to leverage AI tools to improve project management processes, increase team productivity, standardize workflows, and support data-driven decision-making.
Example #3 - Product Development and Commercialization Support
  • Support project managers with planning, reporting, and coordination activities for product development initiatives. This may include analyzing project timelines, tracking milestones, and identifying opportunities to improve project delivery.
Example #4 - Business Intelligence and Reporting
  • Collect, analyze, and synthesize business data to develop reports, dashboards, and recommendations that support strategic planning and operational decision-making.
